What an awesome declaration of faith: "We're a bunch of crazy Canadians who love God and rock and roll. There, we said it"! It was awesome to see that they put God FIRST above everything else🔥🙌🙏🤟👍. TFK is a great example of always taking time to share with their fans the goodness of God. This was the most beautiful and honest display of faith in a living God...a great example of an unreserved surrender to God, and of God's complete possession of a child of His for His own Highest end. TFK is trying to wake people up and for us to join them in the Greatest Adventure...a journey with God wholeheartedly. Let's join them. God is so worth it 🙌🙌. What an awesome example of Trevor worshipping God so passionately and honestly with his whole heart with genuine thankfulness and gratitude to God for giving him a miracle/second chance to live out the desires of his heart.

I already commented on this years ago, but the more I watch now, the more I’m wondering if korey just couldn’t quite hear herself. It’s loud on stage after all, and she might have been wearing earplugs. She wasn’t singing on time with her playback either, which makes me thing she couldn’t hear too well. The whole concert seemed to have sound issues, John’s bass was even louder during The Last Night than the guitars were. Or it could have just been an off night. She’s been lipsynching over playback for years now, so maybe she’s not comfortable singing live, or just genuinely just doesn’t great. Some people are only great with studio magic or softer things.

I think her voice is just worn out. Even if they added “studio magic” it wouldn’t make a difference cuz the whole belief that anyone can jump in a studio and sound great is false. (Not saying she’s bad) It’s just not how it works. But it has to be a worn out voice or a throat/vocal issue cause when you listen to live performances from when she first started all the way to when the live playback started, you can hear her voice slowly change. “Angels fall down” is a great example, mainly the part after the guitar solo. When you listen to 2001 performances than listen to a 2008 performance it’s obvious something is up. But she definitely can still sing. She still sings on albums, but it’s usually when she’s harmonizing with Jen on songs like “fire and fury” and “anchor” reimagined

I have to say that Skillet is really awesome, and I'm not even a Christian. Keep believing!
So, all you hating on Korey, here's an obvious rationale: This is obviously NOT a professional video! So, duh, all their voices are going to sound off,weird, etc. you try singing while running around the stage, playing an instrument and sing at the same time! Without the filters, and such it's going to be very hard to make it sound like you're in the studio! Korey has an exotic voice. It's deep, alluring and mesmerizing! Jen's is beautiful as well, but nothing that makes it significantly stand out on its own!

I don't think people realize that Korey only uses playback live now, I'm sure she is well aware that she didn't kill it live here and probably has struggled a lot. She's handling three things, keys, guitar, and additional vocals, that's a handful. "Oh but Jen plays drums and sings, so Korey has no excuse." Some people are better at multi tasking.

Sure, but she only sing the old songs of Skillet, after Jen got into the band Korey never more wanted to sing, because it's nor necessary for say truth Jonh and Jen already make a gorgeous work on vocals. And Korey well... Singing is not her favorite task, but talking about this video... it was a mistake that they (the production's guys) took with Korey's microphone, and it was not the fish time that it happened, however i thought this concert wonderful like usual. :-)

PedalHead The one thing I never liked about Winter Jam. The crowds are always dead. I get it they're there for everyone else and they don't care for rock but still. I swear I'm the only one getting into it when the hard rock bands come on stage. I pray I see one other person getting into it next week (going to Winter Jam in Greensboro)
Is Trevor losing his voice? Winter Jam is a big tour and he yells a lot at live shows, so it makes sense that he is.
probably, imagine singing rock for like 10 mins hard out then moving on again to do it over and over, it's like a 4 month tour so yeah he probably did in the end

Ahhhh okay. So i figured out why Korey didn't sound good here. She was trying to harmonize. At least that's what it seems like. & when you harmonize, you can't sing like you would solo. You need to stick to the "correct" style of singing (singing from the diaphragm & keeping everything clear). But either way, she is multitasking with her guitar, so I respect it.
